GENERAL INFORMATION

This tournament is open to all U13–U19 competitive teams. The US Youth Soccer Minnesota State Cup is a tournament designed to select the Minnesota league team or Midwest Regional team at each age level and gender to represent Minnesota at the US Youth Soccer Midwest Region II Championships. Regional winners (U14-U19) will go on to compete in the US Youth Soccer National Championships.

Each year a State Cup Committee is formed by the MYSA Tournament Director/ Minnesota State Cup Chair. The Committee is in the process of reviewing the US Youth Soccer National Championship Policies and Minnesota State Cup Rules. All updated documents, information and forms will be posted here.

Mandatory Team Rep Meeting & Draw: Eisenhower Community Center (Hopkins) Rm 233

Apr. 4–Apr. 18:

Individual Team Pre-Registration Meetings: MYSA State Office
(Recommended but only required for new teams)

Directions (from the intersection of I-694 and Minn. Highway 65):
Go north on Highway 65 approximately 35 miles to Isanti. Turn left on County Road 5 at stop light. Go west approx. 0.6 miles. Turn right on 3rd Ave. (just before elementary school) go north 1 mile. Isanti Soccer Complex is on the right.

In an effort to reward teams with exemplary sportsmanship, the referees evaluated coach, player and fan behavior during each game. A score of 1–4 was given in ten different categories ranging from, “players demonstrating respect for teammates, officials and opponents” to “coaches encouraging their players not berating them”.
