On Saturday, November 1, 2008, Minnesota Youth Soccer Association will be holding its annual Recognition Banquet in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting. At the Recognition Banquet, MYSA recognizes and determines a recipient in each of the following eight categories: Competitive Coach of the Year (Boys and Girls); Recreational Coach of the Year (Boys and Girls); Administrator of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Young Referee of the Year (Male and Female).
If you know of someone who has gone above the call of duty to advance soccer within your community please nominate them using one the following forms. Deadline for nominations closed Monday, September 15, 2008.
adidas® Coach of the Year
The adidas Coach of the Year honors both a Competitive and Recreational (boys and girls) coach who goes that extra mile to ensure a great soccer experience. This person exemplifies leadership both on the field and off the field as well. The adidas Coach of the Year award is not only an award to recognize the efforts of the many fine coaches throughout the state of Minnesota, but will also be our representatives for the Regional and National selections.
Application Requirements:
Criteria for the selection of this award include Sportsmanship, Player Development, Personal Coaching Development and Citizenship. Please submit a soccer resume and 3–5 letters of recommendation.

Administrator of the Year
On an annual basis, MYSA recognizes the hard work and dedication of those that help “run the show” often behind the scenes. The Administrator of the Year Award is given to those that have worked hard within their club to help provide opportunities for children to not only play soccer but to play in a safe and fun environment.
Application Requirements:
Candidates must be affiliated through an active MYSA club in good standing, have an outstanding record of participation, should be involved in their community outside of soccer and an excellent role model in their community.
Candidates or their representatives should include: a personal statement of “involvement philosophy,” or documentation supporting a specific philosophy; a short resume’ of volunteerism and letters of recommendation from parents, other club administrators, community leaders and youth.

Volunteer of the Year
The heart of Minnesota Youth Soccer Association is our volunteers. Without the help of volunteers, we would be unable to provide quality soccer experiences for your youth.
Application Requirements:
Please attach as much supporting documentation as possible. This may include letters of recommendation from other parents, club administrators, community leaders, and youth, personal statements of "involvement philosophy", and a short resume of volunteerism.

Young Referee of the Year
Nominations are being requested for MYSA's Young Referee of the Year, both male and female. Any USSF-registered referee in Minnesota may be nominated, providing that he or she has not reached the age of 19 as of August 15, 2008.
Application Requirements:
Selections will be based on a candidate's capability and experience as a referee, as well as his or her commitment to refereeing. Professionalism, demonstration of leadership, and other activities are important considerations. Please be sure to include a current photo the nominee when mailing in the application. The Young Referee of the Year may be selected to represent Minnesota at the Region II Youth Soccer Championships.
